Today we are going to talk about beginning Color Theory with this guide. It is important to learn about the colors and their categories and opposites and this guide will help you learn more about colors and how they work together.

The Colors
This is a Color Wheel that shows all the colors and how they are aligned with one another.
Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, brown etc.

The Primary Colors
Q: What are Primary Colors?
They're the main colors in a color wheel that can be blended to create other colors
The Primary Colors are Red, Yellow, and Blue.
The Secondary Colors
Q: What are Secondary Colors?
They're colors blended from the Primary Colors.
The Secondary Colors include Orange, Green, and Purple/Violet
The Complementary Colors
Q: What are Complement Colors?
They are the colors that are contradicting towards one another in other words, they're opposite colors.
When the opposite colors are blended together, they create either "Tertiary Colors or the color Brown.

- Complementary Colors also when combined in the right proportions, produce white light. The effect is not the same when mixing paints..when mixing the Complementary Colors in painting, the colors will blend to create brown.
- Complementary Colors also can stand out and work together as well even though they're opposite.
The Theory of Black and White
Q: What is the Theory of Black and White?
Black is consider the absence of colors which makes white the light of all colors
Q:Is Black and White really consider a color?
No. They're considered shades or tints.
Q: Are black and white opposites?
Yes. They are opposites and when blended they create another shade/tint called Gray.
